Medieval Mdina Festival, Mdina, Malta
Mdina was the original capital of Malta and has been inhabited from around 700 BC by the Phoenicians. Known also as the silent City, vehicle access is now restricted in the walled and fortified city.
The Medieval Mdina Festival has been running since 2009 and has become a popular annual event for both locals and tourists. The Festival includes re-enactments, music, Medieval food stalls, Falconry displays, lectures, concerts and much more.
During this two day event there will be re-enactments by foreign and local groups, Medieval Music, Illusionist, Jester, Falconry and birds of prey, Lectures, Concerts, food & drinks, Medieval Market, Medieval Kitchen and Children's Area.
Plus Maltese actors wandering around the city in medieval costume, exhibitions and shows in various areas of the city.
This is a wonderful event, taking the visitor back to times long forgotten, but which played such a huge part in the life and development of Malta and Mdina.
