The British Residents Association in Malta has been in existence for over forty years and was established to “foster friendly and harmonious relations between members of the Association and with the people of the Maltese Islands and to assist, advise and represent members in suitable matters. The Association is independent, secular and non-political.”
There are five separate groups spread across the islands, one in Gozo and the other four in Malta. Each individual group organises events and activities, plus there are some National events also.
The Patron is the British High Commissioner and currently membership stands at around 1300, with members from all walks of life and ages.
The association provides support for British expats living in Malta plus social activities and can be an invaluable source of help and information. The National Council regularly issues useful information on living in Malta.
