Key points about this news item Air Malta extends Munich, Rome and Catania services

Two flights per day to Munich, Rome and Catania from Air Malta in summer 2017

Description:

Air Malta increases summer 2017 frequency to Rome, Munich and Catania

During the peak of summer 2017, Air Malta will be operating two flights daily to Munich, Rome and Catania. The Maltese national airline also announced that it would be operating one hundred and fifty flights to twenty-nine destinations between April and November next year.

Air Malta currently has a fleet of eight aircraft and to allow increased frequencies to some destinations, will reduce the number of flights to Gatwick, Berlin, Manchester and Geneva to free up aircraft for the increases elsewhere. In addition, flights to Frankfurt and Athens will be stopped completely in March 2017, a move that has surprised and raised concern within the tour operators association.

The company has code sharing agreements with a number of other airlines, including Air France, Alitalia, Aeroflot, Emirates, Etihad, KLM, Lufthansa and others, allowing it to offer a greater range of flights and destinations without acquiring additional aircraft.
